Sometimes referred to as the blood red eyes cyphastrea, this is a encrusting cyphastrea with very unique orange to red coralites and a dark green to orange base. Grows into large upright mounds while covering the rock it is attached to. It can make rather spectacular hills and valleys in mother colony sizes.
